DTF HACK: Unlock the Power of Sublimation Ink with A-SUB DTF Film!

Looking for a cost-effective way to create vibrant, durable transfers without investing in expensive DTF ink? You're in the right place! In this guide, we'll show you how to use sublimation ink with A-SUB DTF film to achieve stunning results on cotton and light garments.

Why Try This DTF Hack?

Budget-Friendly: No need to buy DTF ink—use your existing sublimation ink! ✅ More Versatile: Works on cotton fabrics, unlike traditional sublimation. ✅ High-Quality Results: Bright colors and soft feel, just like DTF printing!

What You Need

A-SUB DTF Film (for sublimation ink)
A-SUB DTF Powder
Sublimation Ink (e.g., Epson 8550 with A-SUB ink)
Inkjet Printer (with sublimation ink)
Heat Press Machine
Teflon Sheet or Parchment Paper
Cotton or light Garments

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Print the Design

  1. Mirror your image before printing. Unlike regular DTF, sublimation ink requires mirroring.

  2. Load the A-SUB DTF film (matte side up) into your sublimation ink printer.

  3. Print with high-quality settings for the best color vibrancy.

Step 2: Apply the DTF Powder

  1. While the ink is still wet, evenly sprinkle A-SUB DTF Powder over the printed design.

  2. Shake off the excess powder and ensure full coverage.

Step 3: Cure the Print

  1. Use a DTF curing oven or a heat press:

    • DTF Oven: Cure at 320°F (160°C) for 2-3 minutes.

    • Heat Press Hack: Hover the press without direct contact for about 2-3 minutes.

  2. Once the powder turns glossy, it’s ready to press!

Step 4: Transfer the Design

  1. Position the cured film on your cotton/dark fabric.

  2. Cover with a Teflon sheet and press at 320°F (160°C) for 15 seconds.

  3. Let it cool completely, then peel off the film (cold peel method).

Step 5: Final Press

  1. Place a Teflon sheet over the design.

  2. Press again at 320°F for 10 seconds to lock in the print.

🎉 Your sublimation ink DTF transfer is ready! Enjoy a vibrant, durable print on cotton and light fabrics.
