Why Try This DTF Hack?

What You Need
✔ A-SUB DTF Film (for sublimation ink)
✔ A-SUB DTF Powder
✔ Sublimation Ink (e.g., Epson 8550 with A-SUB ink)
✔ Inkjet Printer (with sublimation ink)
✔ Heat Press Machine
✔ Teflon Sheet or Parchment Paper
✔ Cotton or light Garments
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Print the Design
-
Mirror your image before printing. Unlike regular DTF, sublimation ink requires mirroring.
-
Load the A-SUB DTF film (matte side up) into your sublimation ink printer.
-
Print with high-quality settings for the best color vibrancy.
Step 2: Apply the DTF Powder
-
While the ink is still wet, evenly sprinkle A-SUB DTF Powder over the printed design.
-
Shake off the excess powder and ensure full coverage.
Step 3: Cure the Print
-
Use a DTF curing oven or a heat press:
-
DTF Oven: Cure at 320°F (160°C) for 2-3 minutes.
-
Heat Press Hack: Hover the press without direct contact for about 2-3 minutes.
-
-
Once the powder turns glossy, it’s ready to press!
Step 4: Transfer the Design
-
Position the cured film on your cotton/dark fabric.
-
Cover with a Teflon sheet and press at 320°F (160°C) for 15 seconds.
-
Let it cool completely, then peel off the film (cold peel method).
Step 5: Final Press
-
Place a Teflon sheet over the design.
-
Press again at 320°F for 10 seconds to lock in the print.
🎉 Your sublimation ink DTF transfer is ready! Enjoy a vibrant, durable print on cotton and light fabrics.
